There are currently around 20 active members, so this is quite a large group when all are present, but we may accept new experienced players.

This is a relaxed, friendly group who gather together to play and sing along. The aims are to have fun, develop new techniques and skills, learn new songs and develop our social network. The members play a variety of ukuleles - soprano, concert, tenor, baritone and bass, plus banjoleles, kazoos and assorted percussion items (bells, whistles and an occasional tin tray).
Three of our members take it in turns to lead the sessions. The members receive a reminder each week, so we know who is running the group that week and anything special to bring (specific songs, instruments etc).
We recommend that complete beginners would find it helpful to join the Beginner’s Ukulele group which is run on an ad-hoc basis when demand arises and numbers are viable.
When requested, we do external performances at parties, care homes, charity events, Wenlock Christmas Fayre etc so there are opportunities for the players to showcase their skills.
To show what we do, here is a link to a video of us rehearsing "Be My Baby" for a future gig
