New members: The group is aimed at complete beginners. Complete beginners require no prior music knowledge. A loan Ukulele may also be available.
Experienced players are welcome to attend, but they may have to accept some interruption in playing whilst tuition is given to less experienced players.
To date, there have been three beginners groups, each of which ran for about 4 to 6 months. The group normally stops once the members have developed to a level to move on to the main Ukulele group (Uke3A) that meets on Wednesday afternoons.
At the completion of the courses, many of the players have happily moved on to the main uke3a session.
The group works closely with the main Uke3a group, both using the same songbooks, and joining the main group in a few gigs.
Members of the Uke3A will also attend occasionally - and are very welcome.
