- Currently there are around nine members but we welcome new members and could accommodate up to twelve people.
- For this group, some experience is advisable.
- For complete beginners, there is another u3a group, Full details available on their own group page, Art for Beginners.

We meet to have fun and develop our artistic capabilities.
Often we choose our own subjects and media and at other times we work on projects together.
The group is very supportive, we offer each other encouragement and gentle criticism.
We've submitted paintings for exhibitions in the Guildhall from time to time. It's amazing the improvement that can be made by framing a painting!
Occasionally we visit art exhibitions and, if the weather permits, try a bit of "en plein air" work too.
Our most recent project has been to liven up some artwork for the Wheatlands Care Home.
