Walk Leader: Ailsa Logan

Thirteen people joined Ailsa for this walk. Unfortunately, Janet Bramwell who was supposed to lead jointly with Ailsa (and who had reconnoitered the route) was poorly and unable to join the group. Conditions were perfect for walking with dry underfoot and pleasant weather. The route took the group from Hopesay village up to the iron age hill fort of Burrow Hill from where the group enjoyed views in all directions. Lunch was taken beneath the famous 'Arbor Tree' in Aston on Clun - a black poplar decorated with flags.
