After a rather fraught journey from Much Wenlock to the Poles Coppice car park in Pontesbury - resulting i two cars being late - we started the walk 30 minutes later than planned. Twelve people joined walk leaders Mel and Peter Houlder in dry but blustery conditions. The route started with a long, gentle ascent though Poles Coppice and Maddox's Coppice reaching the edge of the area known as The Hollies - situated above Snailbeach. Here the route turned northeast heading through fields and woodland towards Habberley. We stopped in Habberley church (St Mary's) for lunch.
It was then another gentle walk back to the car park.
