Our Politics Group has around 8 members and we would welcome a few more.

Individual members offer to lead the month’s session with a brief presentation which is followed by discussion. Often the session is on a topic currently in the news. 

We specifically avoid party politics and concentrate on trying to make better sense of what is happening in the world.  Subjects covered have included: Climate Change, The Conflict in the Ukraine, Variations in Electoral Systems across the UK, Women’s Rights,  Understanding the Yemen, The Future of the House of Lords, The UK and US Defence Alliance. Government in Iran.
