Shortly after retiring from my position as a Primary Education Advisor and OFSTED Inspector with Shropshire Council I joined the u3a

I have been a member of the Executive Committee for quite some time and have endeavoured to contribute to the workings of the organisation in a number of ways. For many years I was minuting secretary for our meetings. I am leader of ‘Out with Friends’ group1. Until this year I organised the annual visit to Kilworth House Theatre in Leicestershire and I have co-ordinated the occasional Celebration Afternoon Tea.

I research and book speakers for the monthly meetings in Priory Hall, and I am pleased that for 2025 speakers I will be sharing this task with other committee members.

I am happy to offer my home to host the majority of executive committee meetings, which I find are friendly, interesting and often very humorous.
