I joined u3a a few years before I retired as I knew that I’d miss the company of our team. My husband and I had a brand creation and marketing business in Shrewsbury. We had a wide variety of clients including those in food, fashion, professional services and manufacturing sectors. I finished work in 2012 and I’ve enjoyed the involvement with various u3a groups in Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock since then including philosophy, psychology, poetry appreciation and poetry workshop (I prefer groups beginning with P 😉). 

I met my husband at Shrewsbury Technical College when we were 16. We have one son and four wonderful grandchildren. A pretty good return on investment, I think you’ll agree.
