Shaun Higgins visited Priory Hall for our February meeting and in front of a packed house, brought Wilfred Owen to life. We learnt about the man who became the poet and the poet who became a soldier. Drawing directly from his personal writings – both his poetry and his letters – we heard about the experiences of Wilfred Owen told in his own words. The audience were spellbound and many were moved to tears as the presentation, and Owen's story, drew to a close.
