Do You Want to Join us? We warmly welcome new members to our u3a.

Membership fees are £18pa for individual members and £34pa for two people residing at the same address.

Are there any concessions?

A reduction in the fee is made for members of other u3as and those joining late in the membership year. The details are provided on the membership application form.

What is the fee used for?

We charge an annual fee, which is kept fairly low, on the understanding that activity groups are self-funding, although a small grant is available for new group start up costs. This annual fee covers capitation fee paid to the National Office to cover such things as insurance, media licences, resources, advice, National Conference facilities and workshops. We also pay for the distribution of the u3a Matters magazine. The remainder of the fee covers local costs such as printing, postage, room hire and speakers for general meetings. It does not subsidise group activities.

• Return the completed form to the Membership Secretary at the address at the bottom of the form, or bring it to the monthly meeting at the Priory Hall, where we staff a welcome table.
• We prefer payment by BACS. The necessary bank details and other methods of payment are detailed on the form itself.
